A new successful edition of the World Football Summit 2023 in Seville

Our Partner Julio Senn attended the seventh edition of the World Football Summit that took place in Seville on the 20th and 21st of September. Senn Ferrero continues to support this magnificent initiative as Branding Partner since its first edition in 2016.

In this edition and with more than 3,000 attendees, it has once again proved to be one of the great commercial and educational projects of the industry. Among the most outstanding round tables we could mention the Saudi Pro League (SPL), which is the new Saudi professional league that has had so much relevance this summer in world football with the signing of 3 of the 5 best players in the world among others, with the aim of attracting not only players, but also fans and spectators to its competition within the process of professionalisation of football and social openness in Saudi Arabia.

Carlo Norah, CEO of the SPL, underlined that the SPL’s interest and strategy is to improve the infrastructure, to develop the football product, by bringing talent into the competition and not only on the pitch. They are here to stay and to do that they have to build on solid foundations and on the experience of other big leagues.

He also pointed out that the PIF and the Saudi government promote transparency in their project to avoid comparisons with other leagues, such as the Chinese league, which, after similar beginnings, have ended up with failed initial projects.
